Referrals are normally made via the individual’s Social Worker. An application pack is available on request from the Administrator’s office. Following receipt of the completed forms arrangements will be made for the Registered Manager, Case Manager and Key Worker to visit in order to complete a thorough assessment and observations. The assessment procedure follows that recommended by The Institute of Applied Behaviour Analysis, involving discussions with all relevant parties, collection of information and data and extensive observations.
It may be necessary to have several visits to establish if we can meet the needs of the individual and if it is not detrimental to their well being, taking into account their autism, a transition programme will be tailored. In link with the Charity’s policy and procedures all admissions will initially be offered a six or twelve week assessment placement. We do not accept emergency placements.
