We have partnered a variety of local companies in the last couple of years. Some have chosen to send a one-off donation to support our work. Others have wanted a longer-term relationship and have adopted us as their Charity of the Year.
Your company may ask for nominations for a charity support or even have a charity committee who decide on a different charity each year to help. We would be delighted if you would put us in touch with you charity committee or put our name forward.
The obvious benefits of involvement include the direct support of a local worthwhile cause and the satisfaction of giving something back to your local community.
Your own company may run a volunteering programme where they will give you time off to undertake volunteering for a local charity. You may need to contact your HR department to find out how this work.

We feel we make a real impact on the local community through our work with RSDCD and find them an inspiring organisation to work alongside.
Maggie Porteous, Managing Director, John Lewis Cheadle & Trafford ‘John Lewis Partner’s have really enjoyed taking part in a variety of fundraising initiatives. They have taken great pride in being able to equip the John Lewis life skills room, finding this particularly rewarding as they can see first hand the difference they have made. John Lewis has really enjoyed its partnership with the Royal School for the Deaf and Communication Disorders - we have found all the staff a pleasure to work with throughout the project. The RSDCD team have been particularly helpful in thinking creatively about unusual ways that different groups of Partners can get involved, examples include a team from our Service Building who have renovated the sensory garden at the RSDCD as part of a team building exercise, our Department Manager team also based their team building day around an event to raise money for the RSDCD then used the school facilities in the evening for a fantastic barbeque. All in all it has been a fantastic year for us partnering with the RSDCD as our Charity of the Year
