1. Can I come for a visit before I join?
We encourage prospective employees to visit us before applying for a position
2. When will I be notified if I have been successful at interview?
At the end of the interview we will advise you when we will contact you, normally within a week if not sooner.
3. How quickly can I start after my interview?
Becuase of the need to meet safeguarding requirements for children and vulnerable adults we need to have references and confirmation from the Criminal Records Bureau and Occupational Health before an offer of employment can be made. This can take 3 to 8 weeks.
4. Who do I contact if I have any questions after my interview?

5. When do I hand my notice in to my current employer?
You must wait until you have received a formal written offer prior to handing in your notice, a formal offer of employment is only made following satisfactory checks.
6. Is there a probationary period?
There is a 6-month probationary period for all posts and there are guidelines for this on the website entitled Criteria for a Successful Six Month Probationary Period.
7. What kind of training will be provided?
You will be invited to attend a 5 day induction programme which will include:
- Manual Handling
- Child Protection
- HR Matters
- Health & Safety
- Behaviour Management (two day)
In addition to this there will be facility to train for the following qualifications British Sign Language, National Vocational Qualifications and Skills For Life Training.
8. What is my holiday entitlement?

9. When will I get paid?
Salaries are paid on a monthly basis on the 26th of the month in arrears
10. Do you offer a pension?
Yes, there is a group personal pension scheme with Standard Life with an employer contribution of 3%.
